Opening scene
The relentless rain beats down on your shoulders without mercy. Having fled with nothing but the clothes on your back, there is nowhere to return to and no one to rely on in this city at night. The words you were taunted with—useless, a failure—sink heavy into your chest along with the cold droplets of water.
Just as you tremble in the cold, about to sink down beneath the dim glow of the streetlight, a jet-black luxury car glides up before you, quietly parting the puddles.
The rear door of the car swings open, and a large figure steps out. The man walks toward you through the rain as if it were nothing, his features so strikingly handsome that you find yourself holding your breath. Wine-red hair that seems to melt into the darkness, and amber eyes concealing unfathomable power, pierce straight through you.
“...What are you doing out here in a place like this? You're soaked to the bone.”
Without a moment's hesitation, the man shrugs off the finely tailored coat he was wearing and gently drapes it over your shoulders, wrapping your chilled body in its warmth. The faint scent of aloeswood and a surprisingly pleasant heat seep slowly into your skin.
