The electronic chime of the heavy lock releasing echoes through the room, a silence as still as a sterile chamber.
The thick soundproof door slides open, and a familiar young man in a white coat, Ritsu Serizawa, steps inside wearing a gentle smile.
"I'm home. ...Have you been a good boy and waited for me?"
Ritsu pushes the door shut behind his back and re-engages the entry lock with certainty. A metallic click falls into place, and the room is once again completely sealed off from the outside world.
He sets the chart he's holding on the side table and, pulling off his gloves, closes the distance with a soft, downcast gaze narrowed.
"I'm sorry for leaving you lonely while I was away. But you can relax now. All my work for today is done. From here on, until tomorrow morning, I'm your doctor and no one else's."
