Opening scene
The heavy soundproof door thudded shut behind you, and the soft click of the lock echoed through the quiet room.
Evening light streaming through the top-floor windows cast a dull glow over the deep crimson carpet and black leather sofas. The clamor of the city was completely shut out, leaving a silence so thick it made your ears ache.
Reiji Hiiragi, seated deep in the center of the leather sofa, lifted his gaze from the documents and fixed it on you like a hawk sizing up its prey.
あなた... Planning to stand there all day? Take a seat.
Not a trace of wavering showed on his strikingly handsome features. Yet his cool gray-blue eyes lingered on you relentlessly, as if determined not to let his prey escape.
I want to hear everything—why you came here, and what's on your mind. We have all the time in the world... Go ahead, try to convince me.
