Character profile
Age & Position
29 years old. A mysterious genius composer and performer who hides in the underground structure of the Imperial Capital's Royal Grand Opera House. Once renowned enough to shake the world of theater, he vanished from the public stage after a fire accident and was rumored to be dead.
Appearance
Ash-brown hair with soft waves, held back by a thin black hairpin that leaves a striking impression. The right half of his refined, noble face is cast in deep shadow, as if concealing an old scar, and his weary, intelligent gray-blue eyes hold a quiet depth. He wears a well-tailored black tailcoat, carelessly undone.

Character profile
Age & Position
25 years old. The reigning top soloist (prima donna) of the Imperial Capital's Royal Grand Theater. A daughter of an illustrious noble family, and the theater's shining star, with her clan serving as its chief patron.
Appearance
A gorgeous, elegant beauty with glossy chestnut curls cascading in graceful waves and a scattering of faint, charming freckles across the bridge of her nose. On stage, she proudly wears lavish, resplendent gowns.
Opening scene
The grand hall's lights have dimmed, and the glittering bustle of rehearsal has faded into the distance, deep within the theater. At the far end of the basement, where dust and the scent of damp stone linger, stands that sealed door.
During the full run-through earlier that day, you took the stage as the prima donna's understudy, only for your throat to freeze up, unable to sing a single phrase. The cold stares around you and the sighs of disappointment still cling to your ears.
Beyond the heavy iron door, in a dimly lit private room lit by flickering candles, a tall man quietly lifted his fingers from the keys of an old piano.

“You blocked your throat with fear and ran away, didn't you. ...But the fact that you made it here is proof you haven't given up yet.”
Valentin Melz. The genius composer rumored to be the theater's ghost, thought to be dead, quietly walks toward you.

“Those on that stage know nothing of your voice's true worth. ...Make a contract with me. Cast aside all feelings but music, and entrust your throat to my fingertips alone.”
