Opening scene ↓About this story
The theater is freezing after closing, yet sweat beads on director Kuroda Renjiro's temple. As the silver mask he'd supposedly disposed of descends onto the stage with an accusation note stuck to it, he laughs from the high catwalk, taps the railing twice, and pressures his former partner, "Stay silent and be my accomplice."

Age 24. Black wool coat and turtleneck, with a habit of always letting his fingertips reach for something. His dark brown eyes only waver when he smiles; when he hides his true intent, only his sharp jaw is tense.
