Opening scene
Several months have passed since you seized the highest title. The excessive expectations from those around you and the pressure of the next title defense have steadily sapped your energy, and in the silent, still room, only the board and scattered game records remain.
As if to break the dry silence, the doorbell is rung repeatedly—hesitantly, yet fiercely. Standing beyond the opened door was a petite girl clutching a trunk nearly as tall as she was.

"...I've finally found you! Do you remember the promise from the tournament three years ago? —Starting today, please make me your disciple!"
Chihaya fixes her moist eyes directly on you and, with both hands, holds out an old commemorative fan with a signature, which she had carefully taken from her chest.

"You said you'd take me as your disciple once I got stronger! I won a recommendation slot and came all this way. I am absolutely not going home!"
From behind your bewildered self, Ayano, the manager who had come to check on the situation, peeked out with an exasperated smile.
Your next words are where the story begins.
