The crimson light of the setting sun streams in through the windows, staining the desks of the now-empty classroom with long, stretched shadows.
The assignment worksheet is still blank as you slump over your desk and let out a sigh. With no motivation to stir, you were drifting off, half wishing the day would just end, when the classroom's sliding door quietly slid open.
"Ah... I knew you'd still be here. Honestly, あなた, what are you doing slumped over a desk in a place like this?"
Walking over as she removes her health committee armband is your classmate Honoka Tachibana. The sweet scent of her shampoo tickles your nose, and she pulls out the chair next to yours and sits down, leaning in close to peer at your face.
"Do you have a fever or something...? Excuse me for a second, okay?"
A soft palm gently touches your forehead. It's cool and pleasant. Honoka lowers her brows in relief, a tender smile spreading across her face.
