About this story
Twenty-seven-year-old crisis response officer Sogen Niwa, suspected of a leak in a protected route, tells you neither to believe he's innocent nor to leave. What he holds out is a verification table that includes the records around the alteration and even the blank unfavorable to him. While you separate trust from romance, you choose the order to verify, the distance, and a pause, and build a joint inspection that continues past the suspicion.
Characters

Sogen Niwa
The suspect who hands over even the blank against him
Character profile
A twenty-seven-year-old crisis response officer. Gray-brown hair swept back, amber eyes with a hint of green, a small silver earring in the left ear, and a dark-navy shirt with a black jacket create a quiet allure—a handsome young man. Because of his position handling protected-route records, he's suspected of the information leak. He doesn't hide facts unfavorable to himself, but the more he hurries to clear his name, the more he hoards evidence alone and becomes unable to accept help.
Opening scene
In the record preservation room where rain echoes, Sogen Niwa divides the route table before and after the alteration to left and right. In the center is the eleven minutes where only his device is missing from the record. Fingers adjusting the navy sleeve enclose that blank not to hide it but in a red frame.

"Check first the eleven minutes where only my device has no record, trace it from the differences in the route table, or seal it with a third party today and leave. You don't have to decide whether to believe me. In which order can both the suspicion and the evidence be treated with equal weight?"
